It’s not always easy to decide where it’s best to play Texas poker. There are a lot of good sites out there, and all of them offer lots of different things to mediocre and masterful players alike.
For players who really want to earn a lot of money at the game of poker, however, there’s only one proper option for starting out: Sit-N-Go’s.
If you jump right into a big money game you’re likely to get trounced quickly. More, you’ll waste your money, and probably lose interest in texas poker altogether. You need a good forum to learn in. However, jumping onto free games online won’t help you much, either: Texas free poker games are usually frequented by players who don’t take their hands seriously because they have nothing to lose. That’s no way to learn, either.
Hence Sit-N-Go’s are the best way to start. They’re small Texas poker tournaments in which the best three players at the tournament are given a percentage of the total prize pool (first gets 50 percent, second gets 30 percent, third gets 20 percent). If you can master these low-risk tournaments you can make a steady income and move on, eventually, to the big bucks if you so choose.
When finding a good site for Sit-N-Go’s, look for sites willing to give deposit bonuses. You want to get as much bonus money as you can for your deposit just in case your first few hands are a bust and you want to call it quits without much risk. Look, too, for sites that offer multi-table Sit-N-Go tournaments, so you can take on multiple games at a time once you’re ready and maximize your profits. These multi-table events are also great for learning the game quickly and analyzing a lot of players at one time to determine which strategies work best against which players. And, finally, only go with companies that have a stable reputation. If a company has poor poker software that is prone to crashing, look for your Texas fix elsewhere and save yourself undue stress and annoyance.
